Our Little Lady Lately!

I know it's been awhile and to tell you the truth, I don't know how much I will be blogging now that Avery is 1. But, I will try here and there to keep everyone updated. Our friend Brandy Darnell asked what Avery has been up to, so I thought I would share!

This fall we are busy, busy! So far Avery has gone to a pumpkin patch and Atlanta Botanical Gardens-Scarecrow exhibit (check it out, it's beautiful). We are taking her to the State fair, school fall festival, Halloween Party, and maybe another pumpkin patch. I love fall and all the festivities!

Avery turned 1 on September 16th and my how she has grown! She talks, walks, and understands almost everything we say! She's a mess, but a sweet little mess.

Avery went to the doctor and weights 22.6lbs (75th percentile) and once again she is off the charts for her height. Yes the doctor looked at me and said, " She is going to be taller then you!" Ha! She wears mostly 12 month clothes and some 18 month pants. Also, during our doctors appointment we were referred to the ENT. I was disappointed, but Avery has to have tubes, her appt. is October 27th. She has basically had an ear infection since July that just will not go away. So, say a little prayer for her and us!
Avery eats EVERYTHING! I even asked the doctor if this was normal, it worried me. He said it was great that she had such a wonderful appetite!

She still sleeps great, 8pm-8am and takes 2 naps a day that range from 1.5-2 hours. At school she only takes one nap...we don't know how because she HAS to have her naps at home!

Avery only walks now and is getting faster by the day! She also loves to talk and tries to mimic everything we say, here is a list of her words, I'm sure I'll forget a few: please, thank-you, momma, Dada, GG, Nana, Pop-pop, Papaw, Hannah, Dog, Cat, Bye, Hey, milk, wa-wa (water), Cheese, Banana, more, bath, nite-nite, uh-oh, hot, home, ball, Lo-Lo (Aunt Lori), up, baby, all done, ruff-ruff (dog sound), duck, cookie, and Avery tries to say Ali and Zoe (twins). We love that she says the words with meaning and understands commands, such as dance, sit down, go nite-nite, come here, drink your milk, put your bow in your hair, and more! It's so cute and so much fun! Avery can also can point to her belly, head, nose, and shoes.

Avery is a true 1 year-old, but she is an amazing little girl and we love her so so much!
